Académie Lafayette After-School Program

Upper Room has partnered with Académie Lafayette to provide a comprehensive before and after-school program specifically for Académie Lafayette students. The After-School Program includes a meal and provides enrichment classes in visual and performing arts, sports, and other fun activities. This program is offered at Oak and Cherry locations.

Weekly tuition for the after-school program is $70.00 per week, for the first child, and $50 per week for each additional sibling. All families are required to pay a $25.00 initial registration fee.

BEFORE SCHOOL PROGRAM (WEDNESDAYS)

The before-school program begins Wednesday, September 6th and the cost for the Wednesday before-school program is $5 per child.

PAYMENTS

Upper Room KC requires all families to pay fees weekly through automatic payments. Click here to create a payment account through Procare, our online billing system. Your weekly fee will automatically be deducted every Friday at 6:00 pm. Note: The one-time $25 registration fee is processed separately via PayPal as described above. Please contact afterschool@upperroomkc.org for billing inquiries.

EARLY RELEASE AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAYS

We currently provide programming for early release and professional development days. For more information, please contact the Site Director.

  • Students already enrolled in our after-school program can attend on early release days at no extra charge.
  • Students who aren’t enrolled who wish to attend on special days must enroll online before signing up at the site. The cost is $25 plus a one-time $25 registration fee.

If You Are Not Already Enrolled Our Early Release Days Program:

ENROLLMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Registration fee of $25 is non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Upper Room does not prorate fees and part-time care is not available (students may attend a portion of the week, but weekly fee is the same)
  • Registration fee is due in advance before attending
  • All previous balances must be paid in full before enrollment is granted

LATE FEE TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  • Interruption of service will be strictly enforced for non-payment
  • Students will not be allowed to attend after Friday until balance is paid
  • Late pick up fees will be assessed at $1 per minute
  • Registration fees are to be paid online through PayPal and weekly fees are automatically deducted each week
  • Accounts with a balance after 6pm on Fridays are charged a $10 late payment fee

CREDIT TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  • Credit is not given for days students do not attend when school is in session
  • Credit is not given for days students are suspended from after-school care
  • Credits will not be issued for non-attendance on delinquent accounts if services are interrupted for non-payment

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

All after-school sites operate Monday through Friday until 6:00 pm, giving students 15 hours per week of tutoring.

On professional development days, when schools are closed, we extend our hours to care for students of working families.

Yes. All after-school programs begin with a meal.

The first hour is reserved for homework help and is followed by enrichment activities that vary by school and program, and can include music, in partnership with Eddie Baker School of Music, French lessons, in partnership with Académie Lafayette, art, scouting, dance, sports, and more.
