October 2024: New Facility Coming Soon!

We’re excited to announce that Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center is getting a fresh start after being closed due to the vandalization of our previous location. We have contracted with McCown Gordon to construct a brand-new, $2M facility, scheduled to open in early 2025.

Our new center, located at **5931 Swope Parkway, KCMO 64130** (formerly Covenant Presbyterian Church), will continue to serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years old in a fully licensed environment.

Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center:

Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center (ELC) offers an affordable option for child care and Pre-K prep. Serving infants through Pre-K, our ELC is state-accredited and part of a Pre-K co-op that prepares students for their transition into Kindergarten. With age and developmentally-appropriate programming, Upper Room KC’s ELC parents can rely on a continuous education where students explore the full range of their potential from an early age.

While our ELC is one of the most affordable in Kansas City, we also advocate for families that might qualify for state subsidies with a dedicated resource to help navigate the application process.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our ELC provides care and Pre-K classes operate from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.

As part of enrollment, children in our ELC receive nutritious meals and snacks, eliminating the need for parents to plan and pack lunches.

Infants: 6 weeks – 12 months


Toddlers: 12 months – 2 years


Early Preschool: 2 – 3 years


Preschool: 3 – 4 years


Pre-Kindergarten: 4 – 4.5 years


Kindergarten Enrichment (transitional): 4.5 – 5 years


All of our ELC staff and teachers are trained and certified in CPR and first-aid.

You can make a payment at myprocare.com. Parents are also sent an invoice that contains a link to the payment portal. If you haven’t received an invoice for your tuition payment or application fee, please contact us at info@upperroomkc.org.

With a dedicated staff member, we help families apply for state subsidies, and continue to proactively find ways to advocate for your particular financial and domestic situation.
