A PATH TO LEARNING FROM CRADLE TO COLLEGE
October 2024: New Facility Coming Soon!
We’re excited to announce that Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center is getting a fresh start after being closed due to the vandalization of our previous location. We have contracted with McCown Gordon to construct a brand-new, $2M facility, scheduled to open in early 2025.
Our new center, located at **5931 Swope Parkway, KCMO 64130** (formerly Covenant Presbyterian Church), will continue to serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years old in a fully licensed environment.
We are grateful to have secured $1.5M in funding and are actively working to raise the remaining amount needed to complete this incredible project. Contact our Executive Director, Tonia Gilbert via email at tgilbert@upperroomkc.org for more details and sign up to receive updates.
Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center:
Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center (ELC) offers an affordable option for child care and Pre-K prep. Serving infants through Pre-K, our ELC is state-accredited and part of a Pre-K co-op that prepares students for their transition into Kindergarten. With age and developmentally-appropriate programming, Upper Room KC’s ELC parents can rely on a continuous education where students explore the full range of their potential from an early age.
For more information about enrolling your student in our ELC please contact us at info@upperroomkc.org or call (816) 363-3819. Read our FAQs below for more details.
We create a path that places lifelong learning within reach.
As a Missouri State licensed child care center since 2020, we embrace the health, safety, growth, and development of children through a regulatory process that ensures we meet the highest standards of quality.
We support our diverse community and their needs.
With two dedicated areas — one for infants, and one for Pre-K — our ELC supports language, communication, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
We educate children and empower working families.
While our ELC is one of the most affordable in Kansas City, we also advocate for families that might qualify for state subsidies with a dedicated resource to help navigate the application process.
