After-School Programs
Our After-School Program offers one-on-one homework assistance, enrichment activities, meals, and certified teachers and tutors whose expertise is tailored to each student and their schools’ unique needs.
In partnership with Holy Cross Catholic School, Academy for Integrated Arts (AFIA), and Académie Lafayette (Please note: Académie Lafayette enrollment is at capacity for 2025, but waitlist applications are being accepted), the After-School Program operates at four sites—with more opening soon—and is ideal for students between Kindergarten and 8th grade in need of academic support outside of traditional school hours.
Enrollment Instructions:
- New After-School Students: Please download and complete the 2025-2026 Enrollment Packet for new students, OR if you’re interested in state subsidy, please complete the subsidy application.
- Returning Students: Please register with ProCare, and if you’re interested in state subsidy, please also complete a subsidy application.
- Parents: Please download the Parent After-School Handbook.

Please note: for the 2025-2026 academic year, all families must update payment information in ProCare. Please follow the instructions outlined here. There is a one-time $25 registration fee due upon enrollment for each family, and recurring weekly fees for the after school program. See details below.
Académie Lafayette After-School Program (Oak Campus)
Académie Lafayette (Oak Campus):
Grades K-5, after-school program (3pm to 6pm daily)

Weekly tuition for the after-school program is $70.00 per week, for the first child, and $50 per week for each additional sibling -- these fees are due by 5:00 pm on the Friday before the upcoming school week. All families are required to pay a $25.00 initial registration fee.
Académie Lafayette After-School Program (Cherry Street Campus)

Grades K-5, after-school program (3pm to 6pm daily)

Weekly tuition for this program is $25.00 per week for the first child, and $15.00 for each additional sibling -- these fees are due by 5:00 pm on the Friday before the upcoming school week. There is a $25.00 initial registration fee.
Academy for Integrated Arts (AFIA)

Grades K - 6 (4pm to 6pm daily)

Program starts on August 14, 2024.
The weekly tuition for this program is $35.00 per week for the first child, and $25.00 for each additional sibling -- these fees are due by 5:00 pm on the Friday before the upcoming school week. There is a $25.00 initial registration fee.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM SCHEDULE
All After-School programs run until 6:00 pm and begin with a meal. The first hour is reserved for homework assistance and is followed by enrichment activities that vary by each program.
We provide a dedicated time and place for academic continuity.
Youth counselors and volunteer tutors provide personalized attention and one-on-one homework assistance in any subject, and provide a dedicated place for nurturing, stimulating, and educational experiences.
We offer a holistic approach to learning with enrichment activities.
Our classroom setting provides a structured, yet familiar environment where our educator’s work to identify and support our students’ educational, social, and emotional needs.
We make education accessible to our underserved communities.
With support from the state and partner schools, all Upper Room KC’s after-school programs are either free, subsidized, or affordable — making them accessible to all working families in our community.
